Who We Are
The Early Childhood Center (ECC) at Hevreh offers child care and learning for infants, toddlers, and preschoolers in a vibrant, nurturing, creative and child-centered environment.
Early childhood experiences provide the foundation for a child’s lifetime.
Our play-based, emergent curriculum fosters exploration and cultivates children’s natural curiosity. Academics are integrated into our purposeful play. By providing opportunities for children to grow and to explore, we seek to spark the “I wonder” and “Aha” moments that are so valuable in a child’s development.
The Early Childhood Center at Hevreh is housed within Hevreh of Southern Berkshire, a Reform Jewish synagogue, and is open to all families within the community at large. Our small, intimate program allows teachers to provide lots of individual attention to the children. In addition to our small group setting, we benefit from our spacious grounds. Hevreh’s “backyard” includes a fenced area for outdoor play, as well as plenty of space to accommodate nature walks and outdoor activities.
